Dear Families,
FCAT Explorer is up and running, but many of our students are not using this valuable tool. FCAT Explorer provides students with interactive practice for the statewide assessment. The online program is a fun way for students to practice and reinforce important reading and math skills while receiving immediate feedback. Another neat part of the program is the fact that we as teachers can monitor students' progress and provide extra practice in areas that are identified as needing more support.
Students have already received their username and password information so they should be taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to practice their reading and math skills in a motivating way. Students' usernames & passwords are the same for both the reading math programs. If you need another copy of the directions and your child's username and password, please make a note in the planner or send me an e-mail.
For now, we will provide students extra credit opportunities if they complete certain sections of the program, which can really help improve their grades. We invite you to explore this beneficial program with your child.
