Our district has chosen to use Compass Learning
Odyssey®, a Web-based curriculum, to enhance your
child’s educational experience. The Odyssey program offers a customized
learning program for your child. The targeted instruction is aligned
with state and national standards while a variety of instructional
approaches facilitate differentiated instruction
to meet the needs of your child. You and your child have immediate
access to the progress report that is located in the "backpack" icon.
This is a great opportunity for your child to extend the learning time
while keeping him/her engaged, entertained, and
receptive to learning.
In ELA, students can earn a Compliment Coupon for every three activities that they complete at home. In order to receive credit, they need to print out the reports for each activity they finish.

Your
child should know his or her username and password, which is the same
log-on used to access any computer at school.
Also, it should be written in their planner. Either way, I'm including
the formula here.
Username:
same as the school
username/ lower case s + their eight-digit student ID# without any
spaces
Password:
same as the school
password/ capital letter of their first name, two-digit day of birth,
lowercase letter of their last name and last four of their social
security number.
The activities are assigned and ready to go, so have fun learning! I'll be checking in to see their progress. Spread the word and encourage your kiddos to log-on to begin having fun while learning, too! I'll be checking in each week to monitor their progress. Thanks for your support.
